In den einstündigen Veranstaltungen der Reihe „Meet the Entrepreneur“ einmal monatlich mittwochs erzählen Gründer:innen aus den verschiedenen Fakultäten der UR ihre Gründungsstories und stehen den Teilnehmenden im Anschluss für einen intensiven Austausch zur Verfügung. Den Anfang im Sommersemester 2022 macht am Mittwoch, 1. Juni 2022, von 17:00 – 18:00 Uhr, im H26 im Vielberth-Gebäude an der Uni Regensburg David Ofner, Co-Founder & Product Manager, von der Evanium Healthcare GmbH mit einem Vortrag unter dem Titel "Mit sekundären Pflanzenstoffen gegen den Risikofaktor Alkohol".
Als David Ofner 2017 gerade sein Studium aufgenommen hatte, nahm er spontan gemeinsam mit einem Freund bei der Start-up Factory – dem Regensburger Gründungswochenende – teil. Dass sich daraus fünf Jahre später ein Unternehmen entwickelt haben würde, das kurz vor Markteinführung des ersten Produkts steht, hätte er sich nicht träumen lassen. Die Evanium Healthcare GmbH entwickelt Consumer Care Lösungen auf der Basis sekundärer Pflanzenstoffe für die pharmazeutische Industrie sowie den Lebensmittelsektor. Während in den ersten Jahren die Erforschung und (Weiter-)Entwicklung der Wirkstoffe im Vordergrund standen, widmete sich das Team in der letzten Zeit verstärkt der Marktvalidierung, die sich als entscheidender „Knackpunkt“ herausstellte. Tipps für angehende Gründer:innen, was hier zu beachten ist und warum Förderprogramme darauf nur bedingt vorbereiten, präsentiert David Ofner in seinem Vortrag.

Meet the entrepreneur in the summer semester 2022
In the one-hour events of the "Meet the Entrepreneur" series, founders from the UR faculties tell their founding stories once a month on Wednesdays and are then available to the various participants for an intensive exchange. The start for the 2022 summer semester will be on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., in the H26 in the Vielberth building at the University of Regensburg, with David Ofner, Co-Founder & Product Manager, from Evanium Healthcare GmbH, with a lecture entitled "With secondary plant substances against the risk factor alcohol".
When David Ofner had just started his studies in 2017, he spontaneously took part with a friend at the Start-up Factory - the Regensburg start-up weekend. He could never have dreamed that five years later a company would have developed from this that was about to launch its first product on the market. Evanium Healthcare GmbH develops consumer care solutions based on secondary plant substances for the pharmaceutical industry and the food sector. While research and (further) development of the active ingredients were the focus in the first few years, the team has recently focused more on market validation, which turned out to be the crucial "sticking point". In his lecture, David Ofner will present tips for prospective founders, what needs to be considered here and why funding programs only prepare for it to a limited extent.
